Speaking

I love to interact with audiences big or small. Each speaking engagement is designed to inspire, motivate, and challenge ministry teams and individuals to plunge into deeper intimacy with Christ.

Topic may be assigned or determined together with the event leader to meet the specific needs of the group. My favorite topics include anything related to prayer or team development. Below is a list of some possible topics.

  • Establishing the Foundation - Why do you believe that?
  • What is sin? Who is the Holy Spirit? Why did Jesus die? Are you still giving Sunday School answers? Do you know why you believe what you believe? Agreeing with other believers may not be as important as being able to discuss your differing perspectives. Seminars on this topic are designed not to give answers to your questions but to inspire you to search deeper. Various perspectives may be presented to assist the audience in realizing God's perspective may be much broader than what we learned in Sunday school. The ability to share your perspective encourages unity as you become more intimate with Christ and his Body on earth.

  • Whose Purpose is it Anyway - Are you casting a clear vision?
We’ll spend time dissecting your ministry activities to determine if you are functioning as a healthy Body or severed parts. We’ll look at the significance of a well written mission statement and how to use it to unite your leadership team.

  • Lost Intimacy - Re-igniting the spark with Christ
Why are new Christians more enthusiastic about their relationship with Christ? Because they are intimate with him, learning new things about him daily. Have we learned everything or have we just lost interest? This topic focuses on discovering new ways to get excited about Christ when the relationship has grown old.

  • With All Your Heart - Finding God just as He is
For years we sang Just as I am but do we take time to approach God just as He is? Our picture of God is often given to us by others. God promises that when we search for him with all our heart we will find him.

  • A Gentle Whisper - Hearing God in Simple Ways
God speaks in many ways. We’ll look and practice three areas of listening to God through His Written Word, through Solitude and Silence, and through others in Community. This material was originally written by me and two other women at Crossroads Christian Church, Lexington, KY for a weekend women's retreat. It was presented in three large group sessions with two one-hour segments for application.

  • Bridge Designs - Building a Prayer Life for the Heavy Loads
Did you know the design of a bridge determines how much weight it can handle? How is your relationship with God designed? We’ll compare prayer to a conversation with a close friend and find a bridge to God that has no weight limit.

  • A Prayer Experience - Who, Why, and What
Scripture is full of prayer experiences where people spoke to God and God responded. The only experience I know greater than the invitation to speak to the creator of the heavens and earth is to hear the creator speak to me.

  • Knowing What to Say When I Pray
Do your prayers put you to sleep? Are you in the dark when asked to pray? Would you like to know that you are praying God’s will? Psalm 119:105 tells us that God’s Word is a light for our path. In this workshop, we’ll practice turning on that Light as we pray. If your prayers are stale and lifeless, join us for a resurrection of the living Word in your everyday conversations with God. It just might make you want to pray continually.
